The 3 year evaluation of Mitey (completed 2025) concludes that Mitey is a highly effective and unique model of mental health education. Students are building knowledge and skills in mental health, alongside teachers developing their knowledge and skills to teach it.
The Evaluation
The University of Auckland evaluated Mitey over 3 years, collating extensive quantitative and qualitative data. Mitey is described as a highly effective, cutting-edge, unique model of mental health education specifically designed for New Zealand schools that has successfully managed to retain the quality of its approach whilst growing in scale across the country.
